Hartlepool’s large local studies collection has been relocated to Sir William Gray House (the old Hartlepool Museum) in Clarence Road from the central library where there is a search room for  public use. Please ring if a reader or computer is needed but to see documents and transcripts on shelves an appointment is not needed.…

Durham Record Office will be closed from April 2022 pending a move to Mount Oswald. The record office would still prefer the public to email their requests. See further information see durhamrecordoffice.org.uk
