With effect from Thursday May 24th 2018 the Forum will be closed down. This is due to lack of volunteers being available to administer the site on a daily basis and to ensure that the Society are not in breach of the new General Data Regulation Protection which come in to force on Friday 25th May 2018

North Yorkshire County Council is launching a major consultation on what the North Yorkshire Archive Service of the future should look like.
We are keen to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to participate in this consultation and to let us know what services they would like to see delivered from the record office in the future. The survey is open to anyone, as an individual or as a group, with an interest in the archival heritage of North Yorkshire.

Many people know that Darlington Library is under threat of closure and a much smaller resource sited in the Sports Centre. Unfortunately there are others who understand that the Library is closed already.
