Preston Park Exhibition
Preston Park Museum in Eaglescliffe is showcasing stories of Colonel Gilbert Ormerod Spence who was born in Hartburn, Stockton in 1879. He worked in the shipping industry, was active in the church and dedicated to his military duties in the First World War, serving with the DLI. He left over 3,000 objects, including rare arms and armour, to the people of Stockton, now on display. Tickets must be pre-booked online via the museum’s website.

There is now limited access to PCs at Stockton, Thornaby Central , Billingham and Norton Libraries Monday to Friday. Numbers permitted in the sites will be reduced with social distancing and a queue system in operation.
PCs will be available at set times from 10.15am for a maximum period of 45 minutes with users only permitted one session per day. This is due to the reduced numbers of PCs we have available at this time.
All bookings are to be made by telephone to the Library you wish to access, with bookings being taken one day in advance of use.
